Pastor Kottlowski will be conducting the worship services this weekend while Pastor Schwalenberg is on vacation. We thank God for his leading us in worship today and pray for God’s blessings on him and his service to Christ’s church.
Borrowing and Facility Usage Reminder
This is one of the busiest times of the year for our church facility and it’s property. Please remember to check with the church office (Marsha or Pastor) BEFORE your remove any items from the church (chairs, tables, coffee pots, etc.) or before you plan to use the facility (inside or out). Reservations are made on a first come, first served basis. We have made many commitments to members and people in our community and we don’t want to inconvenience them because we can’t provide what we’ve promised. Thanks!
Financial Secretary Help Needed
The Financial Secretary team is looking for another volunteer to help enter offering data. Team members take turns (every two months) entering data. Training will be provided. Computer skills are helpful, but not required. Please speak with Rene if you are interested. Thanks!
Vacation Bible School Pilot Meeting
An initial planning meeting for this year’s Vacation Bible School “Friendship Trek” (Aug. 3rd – 8th) will be held on May 7th at 6:30 p.m. Anyone who is interested in helping with any aspect of VBS is invited to attend. Please speak with Donna, Education Chairperson if you have any questions.

Hymnal Project
As the result of discussions at the April Elders and Church Council meetings, we are excited to announce the introduction of the new “Lutheran Service Book” hymnal at the 8:15 a.m. service this summer. In order to help defray the cost of purchasing fifty (50) hymnals, we are offering any interested families or individuals the opportunity to dedicate a hymnal using a memorial plate (installed inside the front cover of the hymnal) to the memory of a person or persons who are special to them. Cost for each hymnal is $20. If you wish to order your own personal copy of the hymnal, please place a check in the offering plate with the words “Buy hymnal” in the memo field. A copy of the new hymnal is on display on the desk in the Fellowship Hall. We will be placing the order for the hymnals during the week of May 4th. If you wish to dedicate a hymnal, please use the hymnal dedication form included in the bulletin. The introduction of the new hymnal is an enhancement that will affect the 8:15 a.m. service only. The introduction of the hymnal will not change anything we do at the 10:30 a.m. worship service.
Circle of Friends
Circle of Friends Bible Study Group meets 2 or 3 times a month – every other Friday at the church. Next meetings will be Friday nights 5/2 and 5/16 at 6:30 p.m. This group is still a Women’s Adult Bible Study Group – Christ Care affiliated.
Want to Have the Most Fun You’ve Ever Had Mowing Grass?
It’s time to start taking volunteers to mow the church lawn. We actually have to use a sign-up sheet because so many people love to drive our John Deer ZTR mower!!! No prior experience is required. Please place your name on the sign-up sheet in the Fellowship Hall and your will be contacted by the Board of Trustees.
