We believe that the institution of marriage of was created by God and is therefore is not to be entered into without proper instruction or counsel. We believe that all marriages are life-time marriages. We are happy to marry member and non-member couples in our church provided that they agree to the following terms:
1. To meet with our pastor for pre-marital counseling sessions. The sessions are usually held 3 - 6 months before the wedding. The number of meetings is usually around 5. Arrangements can be made for counseling with another pastor or counselor, with the pastor's approval.
2. In general, our pastor will perform weddings for divorced individuals or couples who are living together. However, each request will be counseled on an individual basis to make sure that the marriage takes place in accordance with God's will (as expressed in the Bible).
3. That every wedding in our sanctuary is a worship service. Therefore we only allow activities and music which are appropriate for the worship setting. In general, we do not allow the use of secular music. The specific details of which music is allowed and which is not allowed will be handled by our pastor or one of our church musicians (if they are used).
4. Music may either be: recorded on CD, played by a guest musician, or by one of our regular musicians. Again, content must be within the guidelines mentioned above. We have a Kurzwiel digital keyboard, a Rogers digital pipe organ, and a Yamaha 5'5" baby grand piano for use in accompanying weddings. Contact the church for details on the fees charged by our musicians.
5. Couples may use our gymnasium for their rehearsal dinner and wedding reception. Our gym will hold approximately 150 with a small dance floor. We do allow a small amount of Champaign or wine for the traditional toasts, otherwise the serving of alcoholic beverages anywhere on church property is prohibited.
6. Couples may use our kitchen to prepare and serve food for their reception. We do not have any groups in our church which can help prepare or serve food.
7. The wedding service (and reception) cannot interfere with our Saturday evening worship service (held at 6:00 p.m. each Saturday). This means that the wedding ceremony cannot take place any later than 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
8. We do not have a set fee for weddings or the use of our gymnasium. However, we do strongly encourage couples using the services of our pastor and facility to make appropriate donations to to pastor help compensate for him time, and to the church to cover utilities, cleaning, and wear on the facility.
9. Our pastor will perform weddings outside our facility. Please contact him for details.
In general, we do not:
1. Allow the use of our sanctuary by non-Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod clergy, or allow non-LCMS co-officiants.
2. Allow the general consumption of alcohol on the premises (not even in the parking lot).
3. Allow smoking anywhere inside our facility.
4. Allow the use of the processional song, "The Wedding March."
5. Allow the use of secular music during the service.

We are very thankful for the donation of a gazebo (on the north-side of the
church,
