Personal
Missions Information
64% of non-Christians pray, 60% of them pray daily. This
statistic might seem surprising at first, but it should not
be. We know that most non-Christians are not committed
atheists, and that people today are typically very open to
“spiritual” things, but to whom are these 60% of
non-Christians praying daily? Because they do not know
Jesus, the god they are praying to can be no more than “to
whom it may concern.” for those of us who know Jesus, we
know also that God is our Father who has promised to hear
our prayers for His sake. How could prayer be an open door
for you to tell someone you know about Jesus so that they
can know to whom they pray and have confidence that they
will be heard?

Lutheran
Summer Music Academy and Festival invites youth (grades
8-12) to use music as a catalyst for an exploration of
personal faith and creativity. Students engage in
individual instrument lessons; chamber ensembles;
musicianship classes, symphony orchestra, choir and/or
band; electives and a culminating Festival of
performances. Applications for the academy and for
financial assistance for the experiences are available
at
www.lutheransummermusic.org.

Do you
serve, or would you like to server, Spanish-speaking
people in your community with the Gospel? Or are you
planning a mission trip to Central or South America? If
so, the Lutheran Heritage Foundation (LHF) has a free
resource that will soon be available to you: the Spanish
edition of the Holy Bible, bound with Luther’s Small
Catechism. To pre-order copies, visit the LHF website at
www.LHFmission.org/Spanish_Bible_Poll, where you can
also take a poll to help LHF decide how many copies of
the Bible/catechism to print, in what version, in
hardcover or soft cover. LHF’s materials are provided at
no charge to those who need them.
