Riggert Open House
You are cordially invited to an Open House
celebrating the ministry of Rev. Bob Riggert, Iowa District
West Executive Assistant for Youth, Education, and
Stewardship. The Open House will be held Friday, December
16, from 10 am to 4 pm at the District Office (409 Kenyon
Road, Fort Dodge).Pastor Riggert has announced his
retirement from his District position, effective January 31,
2012. He continues serving until that time in a part-time
capacity as District Education Exec.
He is well-known throughout the District, having served
as pastor of congregations and as a guest preacher and
District consultant to many of our preschools, schools,
youth events, and workshops.
Please join in recognizing and giving thanks to God for
his faithful ministry.
Youth Outreach Event—"Spin-Tacular" Basketball Show
Get ready to be inspired!
Bruce Crevier, featured in Sports Illustrated and Four Time
Guinness World Record holder for simultaneously spinning 21
basketballs, is bringing his motivational Spin-Tacular
Basketball program to Ida Grove. He challenges this
generation to consider their own faith in Jesus and the
lasting value of faith and Christ’s presence in their lives.
Learn more about Bruce and his family at
www.championsforever.com.
This is outreach made easy! No knocking on doors. No
method to memorize. No awkward pauses or feeling
uncomfortable. Invite your friends, sit by their side,
and be challenged together. All ages are welcome, but it
will especially appeal to youth and their families.
Please join us at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ida Grove
on Thursday, January 12, at 7 pm.
(This event is made possible by an Iowa District West
Ablaze grant.)
From the IDW Personal Missions Committee
Thank you to everyone who participated in the
Grounded + Growing + Reaching Outreach Re-source and
Training Event in Storm Lake. Special thanks to Thrivent and
LCEF for their sponsor-ship and to our hosts from St. John
for the use of their facilities, their work to serve those
attending, and their hospitality during the event. These
contributions, along with the knowledge of the various
presenters and the enthusiasm of all those attending
combined to make this event a success. We pray that the day
provided all involved with the resources and motivation
needed to make the Gospel known where they live. |
