Fan Into Flame
Many congregations and member missionaries heard about “Fan Into Flame” at the District “Mission Ignition” events. Please consider the opportunities to join this LCMS Mission initiative in the Epiphany or Easter seasons of 2009. “Joy In Serving” District Convention—June 21-24, 2009
The delegates have been chosen. The nominations have been received. Thank you for your local preparation for the 2009 District Convention. Overtures from congregations and circuits must be sent to President Paul Sieveking by March 1. Congregation assessments have been sent to all congregations and must be sent to the District Business Manager by May 15.

Confirmands Retreat
Information on the February 20-22 Confirmands Retreat is available on the Camp Web site (www.campokoboji.org). Congregations are encouraged to financially support the attendance of this year’s confirmation class. “Jesus Is” the essence of their confession and the foundation for their life.

Resources for Your Congregation
“Travels To The Cross” - A Family Lenten Experience is now available from the Iowa District West Family Ministry Task Force. The “Rock Solid” Camp VBS resource will be available in April.

God Loves Marriage
A Lutheran Marriage Encounter Weekend is scheduled for March 6-8 in Sioux Falls, SD. Registration information is available at www.GodLovesMarriage.org. Learn simple and effective communication techniques. Enhance the love you share.

After several years of trying to start and expand a worshipping community, King of Grace Lutheran Church in Sibley has decided to close their doors. The following items are available to your ministry at no cost. If you are interested in any item(s), please contact Carole White to arrange a time to look at/pick up your choice. Items available include: pulpit, lectern, organ (needs repair), pipe organ, pews (curved on sloped floor), pews (straight long and short on flat floor), ceiling fans, Bibles (KJV), baptismal font, piano and bench, Canon copier (NP210), overhead projector, and table.
