Fan Into Flame
Many congregations and member missionaries heard about “Fan Into Flame” at the District “Mission Ignition” events. Please consider the opportunities to join this LCMS Mission initiative in the Epiphany or Easter seasons of 2009. Contact District Missions Executive Assistant for more information and to receive additional support and direction from our “Fan Into Flame” consultants. Thanks for your participation in “Mission Ignition.”

“Joy In Serving” District Convention—June 21-24, 2009
The delegates have been chosen. The nominations have been received. Thank you for your local preparation for the 2009 District Convention. Overtures from congregations and circuits must be sent to President Paul Sieveking by March 1. Congregation assessments have been sent to all congregations and must be sent to the District Business Manager by May 15.

Sharing the Attitude of Youth
Concordia University, St. Paul, MN and the Minnesota South District are hosting a one day (Saturday, April 4) Senior High Leadership Conference for youth. Information has been mailed to congregations and is also available at www.csp.edu/gotattitude. Space is limited.

Mission Trip Support
Thanks to District LWML mission grants rostered church workers and LWML members are eligible for one time grants for mission trips. Contact Ellie Menz (ellie.menz@idwlcms.org or 515-386-8420) for more information. The summer 2009 Los Angeles mission experience is scheduled for July 7-20. The Registration deadline is April 1, 2009. Information and registration forms are available at the District Wet site.

Items Available
After several years of trying to start and expand a worshipping community, King of Grace Lutheran Church in Sibley has decided to close their doors. The following items are available to your ministry at no cost. If you are interested in any item(s), please contact Carole White to arrange a time to look at/pick up your choice. Carole’s contact information is 515-240-2229 or carole.white@idwlcms.org. Items available include: pulpit, lectern, organ (needs repair), pipe organ, pews (curved on sloped floor), pews (straight long and short on flat floor), ceiling fans, Bibles (KJV), baptismal font, piano and bench, Canon copier (NP210), overhead projector, and table.
