About Main Street Living

Main Street Living is a liturgical worship service, broadcast Sunday mornings on 10 television stations in 8 states. The program is broadcast Sunday mornings at 10:00 am on KCAU (ABC) stations, and financially supported by the viewers and congregations of the viewing area.

The first portion of the program is remastered episodes of Lutheran hour ministries, This is the Life, a retro TV series that aired from the 1950s to the 1980s.


The Mission of Main Street Living

  • Main Street Living is here to provide liturgical service to those who are unable to attend a local congregation. 
  • We strive to be a ministry that aids and complements the work of pastors and their congregations, and encourage those who are able, to attend a local worship service.
  • Six regional services are broadcast on local television stations and available online to those who are unable to attend in-person worship

April 19, 2026

This is the Life – “A Girl’s Best Friend” – Focusing on the here and now creates problems for a mother and her daughter and prompts spiritual questions for all.

 

Worship Service – Rev.
